Youth

Riverlea community, as part of the broader Johannesburg megacity, faces mega youth challenges. This often overwhelmed varios social service agencies. Our your ministry has a simply philosophy; but is not simplistic. We are not into numbers, we are into building young leaders.

We believe that our children are included, in the covenant that God initiated. This means that young people are an integral part of the ministry, whether it be worship and preaching, service and witness or any other congregational aspect. It also means that we recognise young people as co-ministers. Hence a critical component is intergenerational dialogue, but also trusting and equiping young leaders for ministry.

In Riverlea, our young people are part of the worship team, the dance ministries, choirs, children’s ministry, churchcouncil, you name it. Young people also gathers weekly for some fellowship ( lots of games and fun) and….well, fellowship. This happens mostly on Saterdays, but it can also happen at any other time of the year or week. We also host an annual youth camp and 2010′s one will be as awesome as ever.

So give Crystal or Marcel a call for more information.
